In 2016, Cathie Schafer made the decision to begin formal wine education, and in January of 2017 passed the Certified Specialist of Wine Exam.
With absolutely no experience in the wine industry and minimal experience in drinking wine, it was an ambitious endeavor.
Sometimes she feels like she can’t remember what day it is or what she got up to do.
However, her ability to retain any information related to wine is her superpower.
Through this wine education endeavor, she has learned more about geography, history, chemistry, and culture than ever before.
Wine Tasting is an avenue to bring people together and facilitate joy.
