"Daisies POP's"

Marietta Daisies Garden Club members restoration and maintenance of the MFUMC Park on Polk’s Woodland Garden. This ongoing community partnership is shared with the church’s Park Keepers group.

The Park on Polk is located on the property of

First United Methodist Church of Marietta,

56 Whitlock Ave, Marietta, GA 30064.

● Restore the Sections of the Woodland Garden at the

Park on Polk Gardens back to its former pristine state and maintain the garden for the enjoyment of park visitors in the community of Marietta.

BUTTERFLY GARDEN

2025/2026, members maintained a summer watering schedule and expanded the gardens through generous donations of plants, time, and hands-on support.

Following the inaugural year of installation, the Butterfly Garden successfully overwintered and continues to thrive with new additions from Daisies members.

The project remains on schedule with original design goals, including pursuing recognition on the Rosalynn Carter Butterfly Trail.

STUMP GARDEN

The Stump Garden has matured beautifully and reflects this year’s National Garden initiative celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with a patriotic red, white, and blue planting theme.

SERENITY GARDEN

Looking ahead, our 2026/2027 efforts will focus on the Serenity Garden with plans to enhance the entrance, add:

evergreen screening and perennial blooms
better entrance designation with stones and gate
improve access to the prayer path
prayer box access
moving existing bench along the prayer path
adding a new seating area inside the serenity garden

creating a peaceful destination for reflection and well-being.

Thank you to every Marietta Daisies whose dedication, hard work, and generosity continue to make Park on Polk a beautiful and meaningful community garden. Your volunteer spirit has created a place where nature, education, and community come together.

We hope you'll join us in the garden as we continue to grow a vibrant community, beautify Park on Polk, and cultivate friendships that flourish year after year.

Watering Schedule through September is under management from our Daisies volunteer team.
