Highlights from 2026 Summer Soiree

The Daisies 5th Annual Summer Soiree - Cheers to Five Years!

On July 9, Daisies and their guests gathered at the Marietta Educational Garden Center for the club’s 5th annual Summer Soiree!

The Soiree had its beginning back at the end of the 2022-23 year as things were emerging from the COVID lockdowns. At that time the Marietta Daisies club budget showed an amount of unused funds leftover from the year. As with so many organizations at that time, many things that had been planned before the pandemic had simply not taken place. Looking at the funds remaining funds and considering the distancing we’d all been doing during COVID was easing up, the outgoing Board saw an opportunity to plan something to give back to the club and proposed using the funds for a social gathering for the Daisies and their guests…and the Summer Soiree was born!

As in past year’s the 2026 Summer Soiree was a hit!

The garden center was dressed to the hilt with stunning floral arrangements with a common theme of limelight hydrangeas topping the tables dotting the main room while accents in white, gold and Tiffany blue filled out the space beautifully. Upon arrival, guests were presented with a welcome Gemma de Luna Prosecco in the parlor.

Entering into the dining and living room space, Daisies and their guests could enjoy three hospitality stations providing choices of a refreshing pineapple margarita mocktail, five carefully selected wines for enjoying or tasting all five, and an amazing charcuterie-inspired long table which provided a delicious dining experience and a beautiful presentation in equal measure!

The Soiree planning committee (it’s been said this it’s just as much fun being part of the Soiree committee and planning the event as it is attending the event itself!) is tremendously appreciative to be able to partner with TRG Vino Market of Acworth in the selection and presentation of the wines and the catering of the event. After a brief introduction and backstory to the evening’s wines by Toby Carmichael of TRG, Daisies and their guests enjoyed milling about the room or sitting with friends at the flower-laden tables to catch up and sample the mocktail, wine selections, and charcuterie fare.

There were even door prizes - six lucky attendees heard their names called as they won gift baskets, framed art, homemade woodwork, gift certificates, and more.

Most of all the Soiree stayed true to its roots of providing a lovely evening for Daisies to gather together, bring their guests and enjoy each other’s company.

Cheers to Five Years and here’s to the years to come!
