Daisy May Crow Takes First Place Again!
The Marietta Daisies Garden Club is celebrating another exciting victory!
Our beloved honorary member, Daisy May Crow, has won First Place in the Club Category at Marietta's Scarecrows on the Square
competition, marking an incredible
11 consecutive years of winning!
This year's theme was especially meaningful as Daisy May proudly portrayed Betsy Ross, commemorating the upcoming 250th birthday of the United States of America. Dressed in patriotic style and lovingly crafted with creative details, Daisy May paid tribute to our nation's history and the spirit of American independence.
Adding a special touch to this patriotic tribute was a creative interpretation of the American flag, featuring daisies in place of the traditional stars, a charming nod to our garden club and its love of flowers!
Behind this award-winning creation was a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers, led by our talented Scarecrows on the Square Chair, Dani Travis.
A heartfelt thank-you to our creative Daisies:
Tracie Guckian
Ruby Mercier
Amy Savage
Jodi Schneider
Maria Harbin
Jane Cooley
And a special thank-you to one of our wonderful Daisy Dudes, Michael Travis, for lending his time and helping hands!
We would also like to extend a very special thank-you to the helping hands at Marietta Middle School! Their creativity and contributions helped bring our unique flag display to life, replacing the traditional stars with cheerful daisies. What a wonderful example of generations coming together through art, history, and community spirit! We are so grateful for their participation in making this year's display extra special.
Eleven years, eleven wins! What an extraordinary tradition of creativity, teamwork, and community spirit!
We are incredibly grateful to Dani, our dedicated Daisies, our Daisy Dudes, and the students of Marietta Middle School for contributing their time, talents, and passion to this beloved annual project. Your dedication continues to bring joy to Marietta Square and pride to the Marietta Daisies Garden Club.
Congratulations, Daisies! You've done it again!
If you haven't already, take a stroll through Marietta Square and celebrate the creativity and community spirit that make Scarecrows on the Square such a cherished fall tradition!
