Tour Four Amazing Gardens!

Saturday, May 10, 2025 was the Master Gardeners Spring Garden Tour

by Melissa Snyder

Rain or Shine Event

It was raining but that just enhanced the colors for the photographers eye.

And look at this cutie of a photograph!

Melissa Snyder and Jamie Holden were a few Daisies to be spotted on the tour.

The Master Gardener Volunteers of Cobb County want you to learn and be inspired as you visit their four beautiful and unique gardens selected for the 2025 Tour.

This year, they demonstrated how gardens can be a place for people of any age to grow and learn.

A Pocketful of Posies

The Slauson Garden

3330 Custer Lake Drive Marietta, GA 30064

Learn how inviting nature into your garden becomes a thrilling passion with the Slausons.

A Certified Birds Georgia Wildlife Sanctuary and National Wildlife Federation Certified Habitat, this garden focuses on being good neighbors and stewards to resident wildlife

and visitors through best gardening practices.

Adding native plants, making peace with leaves, using pesticide- and chemical-free

methods for handling problem areas, and learning patience result in an increased number of butterflies, birds, bees, and other wildlife.

Master Gardeners were available to ask “how to’s” for coexisting with wildlife.

For the kids: Children will enjoy viewing an observational bee hive and participating in a

variety of garden activities.

Her garden shed was tucked away in someone's backyard on today's tour.
