Caramel Apple Puppy Chow

Ingredients

• 9 cups Rice Chex cereal

• 1 1/4 cups dried apple chips

• 1 cup powdered sugar

• 1 Tbsp. apple pie spice

• 4 oz. white chocolate, chopped

• 1 Tbsp. butter

• 1/2 cup dulce de leche

• 1 tsp. vanilla extract

• 1/8 tsp. salt

  
  

Directions

1. Place cereal in a large bowl. Using a rolling pin or a food processor, crush apple chips to fine crumbs. In a small bowl combine apple crumbs, powdered sugar, and apple pie spice.

2. In a medium bowl, microwave dulce de leche for 30 seconds. Stir in white chocolate and butter microwave in 15-second intervals, until melted. Stir in vanilla and salt.

3. Pour white chocolate mixture over cereal; fold gently until coated. Sprinkle apple sugar mixture over cereal; toss until coated.

How to Store Caramel Apple Puppy Chow

Place in an airtight container. Store up to 1 day at room temperature or up to 1 week in the refrigerator. For a crunchier puppy chow store in an airtight container in the freezer up to 1 week.
