Back-to-School Stewardship:
Keeping Marietta Beautiful
Being a caretaker of our community is truly an honor.

There is something special about the energy that comes with the start of a new school year. Families return, sidewalks come alive, and our community once again feels full of possibility.
This year, the Marietta Daisies were proud to welcome students and families back
to Marietta Middle School through one of our ongoing community projects,
Keep Marietta Beautiful: Adopt a Mile on Polk Street.
Led by Deanna Slone, the heart and driving force behind this project, our Adopt a Mile program is a simple but meaningful way to care for the community we call home. Throughout the year, Marietta Daisies volunteers help keep Polk Street clean, beautiful, and welcoming to residents and visitors traveling through Marietta’s historic downtown district.
Our Back-to-School clean-up was especially meaningful. Marietta Middle School was welcoming families back for orientation, and the streets and campus were filled with the excitement of a new school year. As students and parents arrived, our volunteers were busy helping make sure the surrounding area looked its best for their return.
We are grateful to the Marietta Daisies who gave their time and energy to this project. Community stewardship is more than picking up litter, it is about taking pride in the places we share and helping create an environment where our neighbors, families, and visitors feel welcomed.
Through projects like Keep Marietta Beautiful: Adopt a Mile, the Marietta Daisies are proud to lend a helping hand and make a difference, one street and one garden at a time.
Thank you to all of our Daisies who continue to show that caring for our community is something worth growing together.
